American Electric Power is one of the largest electric utilities in the United States, delivering electricity to more than 5 million customers in 11 states.

Client Problems:

The AEP Human Resource department was tasked to create a gift package and award for the AEP high school scholarship winners. Gifts are provided at four high profile events where the CEO presides. It is very important that the gift and award communicate the quality of AEP. Our contact wanted creative gift ideas that could all be pulled together into one package. She also wanted to avoid fulfilling and storing at their offices where there was limited space and she has limited time to pull it together.

Solution:

True Design reviewed the client’s needs and suggested the following three services:
1) Product supply – we provided a college survival package that included snacks, school supplies,
an embossed AEP writing pad, a personalized award and a laminated information sheet all supplied in an embossed AEP High Sierra backpack.
2) Product fulfillment – we fulfilled all the separate pieces into one final package.
3) Direct shipment of the gifts – we packaged and shipped the gifts direct to the four event locations. 

Result:

Our client was very excited about the final product. The gift was unique and very appealing to our end target. Our order coordination, fulfillment and shipping helped to minimize the time our client had to dedicate to the project.
